Pricing Controls

Control pricing across your team store with automated pricing rules, individual product overrides, and price rounding options. Set prices based on MSRP or your account's discounted cost, and manage earnings from a centralized pricing table.

How Pricing Controls Work

Pricing Controls determine how products are priced in your store. You can establish a default pricing rule that applies throughout the store, then override individual product prices when needed.

Store pricing can be calculated using either the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) or your account's discounted cost. Your cost reflects applicable account-level discounts, allowing you to set retail prices and determine how much your store earns from each sale.

You can review your account earnings in your account dashboard.

Storewide Pricing Rules

Storewide pricing rules automatically calculate product prices using one of six available methods. The selected rule establishes the default pricing behavior for products in your store.

Available Pricing Modes

  • Lowest Price Possible: Set product prices equal to your discounted cost, without adding a markup.
  • Always Use MSRP: Use the manufacturer's suggested retail price as the selling price.
  • Dollar Upcharge Over MSRP: Add a fixed dollar amount to MSRP.
  • Percentage Upcharge Over MSRP: Increase MSRP by a specified percentage.
  • Dollar Upcharge Over Your Cost: Add a fixed dollar amount to your account's discounted cost.
  • Percentage Upcharge Over Your Cost: Increase your discounted cost by a specified percentage.

Pricing modes based on your cost allow you to establish markups relative to your account's applicable pricing, while MSRP-based modes use the product's suggested retail price as their starting point.

Price Rounding

Pricing Controls include rounding options that help standardize automatically calculated prices across your store.

  • Nearest $.99: Round calculated prices to a retail price ending in .99.
  • Nearest Whole Dollar: Round calculated prices to the nearest whole-dollar amount.

Rounding provides more consistent retail pricing without requiring you to manually adjust every product.

Product Pricing Table

The product pricing table provides a centralized view of the products in your store and their associated pricing information. You can review and edit individual prices directly from this interface.

For each product, the table displays:

  • Cost: Your account's applicable product cost, including eligible account discounts.
  • Price: The retail price charged to customers purchasing the product.
  • Profit: The projected earnings associated with the product's selling price and cost.
  • Commission: The applicable commission information associated with the product.

This allows you to evaluate product pricing and projected earnings while managing your store catalog.

Individual Product Pricing Overrides

Products can have their own prices independently of the storewide pricing rule. When you manually override a product's price, that product no longer follows the default pricing calculation.

Overrides are useful when you want to offer a product at a promotional price, establish different markups for premium merchandise, or adjust pricing for a particular item without changing the rest of your store.

Other products continue following the storewide pricing rule unless their prices are also overridden.

Common Pricing Strategies

Outfitting a Team at Cost

Use Lowest Price Possible to offer merchandise at your account's discounted cost without adding a store markup.

Team Fundraising

Use dollar or percentage upcharges over your cost to establish product markups and generate earnings from store sales.

Promotional Pricing

Override selected products to offer promotional prices without changing the pricing rules applied to the rest of your catalog.

Mixed Product Catalogs

Use automated pricing for most products while assigning individual prices to specialty merchandise, premium items, or products with different earning goals.
